The project

JOANNEUM RESEARCH, together with prospect Unternehmensberatung GmbH, has been entrusted with the scientific support of the ‘Demografieberatung Digi+’, which is being implemented by ARGE Demografieberatung, consisting of ÖSB Consulting and Deloitte, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy (BMAW). As part of the demographic consulting programme, Austrian companies can take advantage of a free consulting service to create an age-appropriate and health-promoting working environment. The scientific support is intended to analyse the consulting service and its effects and thus contribute to optimising the service.

Our activities in the project

JOANNEUM RESEARCH is responsible in the project for the development and support of a compact monitoring system, the survey of employees' subjective views and the evaluation of counselling tools.

Details of the project

During the current funding period of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), free consultations are being offered as part of the ‘Demography Consultancy Digi+’ programme, which aims to support Austrian companies in creating an age-appropriate and health-promoting working environment. The offer places a special focus on the topic of digitalisation and is implemented by ARGE Demografieberatung, consisting of ÖSB Consulting and Deloitte. The cross-cutting topics of participation and sensitisation play a special role.

The scientific monitoring is intended to analyse the effects of the counselling service on the basis of qualitative and quantitative data, taking into account the subjective views of the employees concerned. By scientifically monitoring the counselling process and content, it should also contribute to the optimisation of the service and help to ensure that the knowledge gained is communicated to experts and the general public alike.

prospect and JOANNEUM RESEARCH POLICIES draw on a wide range of different methods in order to provide the most robust empirical basis possible and prepare it in such a way that it can be used to optimise the programme and generate general findings. These include quantitative and qualitative as well as participatory research approaches. The scientific monitoring of the programme is seen by prospect and JOANNEUM RESEARCH as a dialogue-based process and is implemented in close cooperation with ARGE Demografieberatung.
