About the person
Hannes Schwaiger, Deputy Director and Research Group Leader for ‘Climate-Neutral Energy Systems and Lifestyles’ at LIFE. A forester and environmental engineer, he has been involved in numerous national and international projects since 1996 in the areas of urban heat islands, albedo and the carbon balances of different land cover types. Since 2017, he has headed the 14-member research group and has been involved in the area of ‘Transforming our economy and society towards climate neutrality’.
