Assessing the function and effectiveness of medical products through established and innovative methods in coordination with testing institutions.
Data management and statistics for clinical trials prepared in accordance with international standards, from protocol development to study reports: sample size, data management plan, eCRF, validated data interfaces, query management, medical coding, statistical analysis plan, SAS-programming, data conversion and statistical reporting.
We have many years of experience in the development, testing and validation of the effectiveness of new dressing materials. We have established standardised clinical models that allow us to analyse the performance of modern treatment methods, including at biomarker level.
In collaboration with partners from industry, we are conducting research into and developing the use of cell-based therapies in wound healing. We carry out in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies and also provide support in setting up clinical trials (phase 1/2).
Creation of apps featuring periodic, unobtrusive recording of physiological and cognitive-emotional stress by wearables, playful cognitive tests, embedded gaze tracking, and interaction analysis for psychophysiological state monitoring with information about lifestyle context.
We develop optical chemo- and biosensors as compact analytical systems for the continuous detection of chemical (e.g. O2, CO2) or biological substances as well as complete measuring systems for special applications in medical and performance diagnostics.
We offer an end-to-end development chain for bioanalytic and diagnostic lab-on-a-chip (LoC) and organ-on-a-chip (OoC) systems. In cooperation with our partners, we operate a pilot line for R2R structuring, biofunctionalisation, lamination and laser structuring. The line is being continuously enhanced.
We develop manufacturing and coating processes for haemocompatible, antibacterial and osteoinductive components for a new generation of implants (heart valves, spinal implants and implantable electronic actuators and sensors). We also coat 3D printed substrates for this purpose.
With cOFM, local drug distribution and biomarkers in the brain can be monitored - with the blood-brain barrier intact.
