ROS4DEV includes the development of flexible training packages for the development of ROS (Robot Operating Systems) solutions in companies for manufacturing or robotics services. Training is offered on advanced topics of ROS development with simple AI, cyber security and software engineering methods. Participants complete individually selectable learning paths on an online platform and deepen their knowledge in a topic-specific workshop.
With the qualification packages on cyber security, we highlight weaknesses and potential points of attack in the Robot Operating System (ROS) and demonstrate how robot systems can be operated safely. In addition to completing online learning paths, participants have the opportunity to put the cyber security of a robot system to the test as part of a "Capture the Flag Challenge”. This allows them to develop a deeper understanding of cyber security in the context of the Robot Operating System.

Artificial intelligence and robotics are considered as key factors for continuous production. The use of these tools strengthens Europe's sovereignty in terms of production automation and reduces environmental impacts. ROS, as open-source software, facilitates the integration of robotic applications into production for many SMEs in Europe. However, engineers often have basic integration skills but need more extensive knowledge to make a real impact with reliable, safe and intelligent solutions.
Unser Projekt ROS4DEV zielt darauf ab, Ingenieur*innen, die bereits ROS-Lösungen in Unternehmen, Start-ups und KMUs entwickeln, Schulungsinhalte anzubieten. Es werden flexible Schulungen zu fortgeschrittenen Themen der ROS-Lösungsentwicklung angeboten, darunter frugale KI (geringe Latenz und geringer Energieverbrauch), überwachtes Lernen, Lernen durch Demonstration und Sicherheits-Software-Engineering-Methoden. Die erste Schulungsphase besteht aus einem benutzerdefinierten Online-Trainingsprogramm. Über die Skills.move-Plattform haben die Teilnehmer*innen Zugriff auf Lernpfade (von grundlegenden Präsentationen von ROS-Konzepten bis hin zu fortgeschrittenen Themen), die an ihr anfängliches Lernniveau und die erwarteten Lernergebnisse angepasst sind. Die zweite Schulungsphase besteht darin, drei praktische Schulungssitzungen zu organisieren, die sich mit den realen Anwendungsfällen und Problemen der Teilnehmenden befassen, die ROS4DEV mit ihnen lösen möchte.
