Scratch assays allow a detailed investigation of cell migration and wound healing processes under in vitro conditions.
Our scratch assays offer a simple and fast method to analyse cell migration in vitro. By creating a standardised linear scratch on a cell lawn, we can simulate the wound healing process and track the movement of cells across the wound surface. In doing so, we quantify various parameters such as cell migration, proliferation and invasion. Our medium-throughput approach allows us to perform a large number of assays simultaneously without compromising on the quality of the data. We use high-quality cell culture systems to achieve reproducible and consistent results.
The evaluation of wound dressings and medical devices (e.g. skin substitutes) is of great importance to ensure their effectiveness and safety. We can also determine the "mode of action" of these materials.
