Some time ago, a team from ORF was a guest at JOANNEUM RESEARCH to report on the EU-funded FAIRWork research project. FAIRWork aims to optimise work processes through the close collaboration of humans, artificial intelligence (AI), data and robots. At the centre of this is a new hybrid decision-making model that involves both human and technical actors. The aim is to make decision-making in complex production processes more democratic, transparent and efficient through the use of digital twins and AI-based assistance systems. The aim is to strengthen trust, fairness and the balance between man and machine. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
Our experts at JOANNEUM RESEARCH DIGITAL are particularly involved in the development of methods for cooperative decision-making and optimisation of production processes. This includes aspects such as data fusion, simulation and innovative AI algorithms. The research makes an important contribution to the working world of the future, which focuses more on cooperation and sustainability. FAIRWork is shaping a future in which technological innovation supports and relieves people at work.
The report was broadcast in the programme ‘Steiermark heute’ on 20.11.2024 and is available in the ORF media library until 20.12.2024: Watch here.
