SmartScout Fostering PPDR Mission Management by Integrating Different Sensor Platforms

The SmartScout project is developing a smart sensor network for public safety surveillance tasks based on mobile and fixed sensor platforms. The special features of SmartScout are the integration and the processing and evaluation of the collected data. The project aims to provide effective and efficient support to public safety agencies which are currently facing massive challenges, such as managing major events, alpine search and rescue tasks or the issue of border security because of refugee flows. In order to receive a quick overview of the current situation of above mentioned scenarios, ICTbased information services are applied.
