Abstract:

Morphological changes during a radiotherapy-course are known to have a significant impact on the dose distributions, namely for treatments in the head and neck region. Aim of our study was to analyze, whether these dosimetric changes are more severe in intensity modulated treatment techniques static IMRT and volumetric modulated arc (VMAT) - as compared to conventional 3D-conformal treatment plans.
