Biomedical Tissue Monitoring
Birngruber worked and obtained his doctorate as a biomedical engineer at the Medical University of Graz and Graz University of Technology in the fields of neuroscience and imaging techniques (MRI). As part of his dissertation, Birngruber developed cerebral open flow microperfusion (cOFM), a technology for monitoring drug transport across the blood-brain barrier. His research focuses on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Thomas Birngruber has a strong network in both the scientific community and the pharmaceutical industry.
