This year the ICT Security Conference organised by the Austrian Armed Forces took place in the Styrian city of Fürstenfeld. At October 1st and 2nd, representatives from companies, authorities, research organisations, and institutions of higher education met to exchange information at the largest event of its kind in central Europe.

At DIGITAL’s information booth the competence group for Cyber Security and Defence presented its research portfolio. In the session on management and research Christian Derler gave a talk about the future of cyber security research in Europe. In his talk he presented the H2020 project SPARTA. Starting in February 2019 this project with JOANNEUM RESARCH as part of a team 44 partners from research, industry science and public authorities from 14 member states across Europe is preparing the future European network of cyber security competence centres.
