The European research project RESOLVD (Renewable penetration levered by Efficient Low Voltage Distribution Grids) is concerned with improving the efficiency and capacities of power distribution networks.

The 6th Global Meeting of the RESOLVD Project took place on March 3rd and 4th, 2020 in Graz (Austria). The meeting was organized by the Cyber Security and Defence Competence Group of JOANNEUM RESEARCH – DIGITAL.

As RESOLVD is now entering the final phase, the main focus was on the one side the finalization of the development, integration and deployment but also on the other side exploitation, impact creation, business models and dissemination were discussed.

In particular the schedule of the final hardware and software deployment and connection to the grid were discussed and agreed upon as well as the validation according to KPIs.

The planning and management of two upcoming important events - the annual meeting with the Stakeholders Innovation Group and a RESOLVD symposium in Barcelona, where the RESOLVD solution will be demonstrated - were the main points of the exploitation and dissemination session.

Upcoming events:

  • Symposium on Energy Innovation in Low Voltage Distribution Grids will take place in Barcelona (UPC premises) to be scheduled in June or September 2020.
  • Annual meeting with Stakeholder Innovation Group at the RESOLVD demo site at Estabanell to be scheduled in September 2020
