Joint Annual Conference of the Science Technology and Society Unit of the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science of Graz University of Technology, the Inter-University Research Centre for Technology, Work and Culture (IFZ) and the Institute for Advanced Studies of Science, Technology and Society (IAS-STS).

Together with Vanja Djinlev from ETH Zurich and Malgorzata {Gosia} Matowska from Th!nk E, Michael Brenner-Fliesser will host the session C.7 Energy Citizenship and Positive Energy Districts.

This session seeks to delve deep into the nuanced relationship between the concepts of energy citizens and positive energy districts (PED). The following questions are addressed:

• How to empower citizens?
• What decision-making structure is suitable for these concepts?
• What policy- and regulation frameworks are essential to empower citizens in PEDs?
• What are the most compelling examples?
