LIFE gained extensive expertise in the field of fisheries and aquaculture through its activities in the process support of specific funding programs and in the EU Data Collection Framework (DCF). As partner of the agri benchmark Fish network LIFE is now expanding its competences in sustainable production in fisheries and aquaculture to the international level.
agri benchmark is a global, non-profit network of agricultural economists, advisors, producers and specialists in agricultural and horticultural key sectors, scientifically coordinated by the Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute. At expert level, operational knowledge is combined with the analysis of international commodity markets and value chains. Universities and research institutions closely cooperate with producer organizations, administrative authorities and consulting companies. LIFE seizes the opportunity to expand its international network in the context of aquaculture and fishing production systems.
