A total of 350 participants from 44 countries, including representatives from cities, universities, municipal organisations, the European Commission and the United Nations, took part in the European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO) in order to find ways for a resilient transformation of cities in Europe and worldwide.

When it comes to strengthening the resilience of cities, municipalities and companies share many common interests. At EURESFO23, many questions relating to the development of financing and investment for adaptation measures and nature-based solutions were discussed. Michael Kernitzkyi and other partners from the Invest4Nature project, which is coordinated by LIFE, discussed this in a session on "Nature-Positive Economy & Financing: Navigating Ecosystem Restoration and Private Investment". Results from the project REGREEN, where LIFE is involved, were also presented. More information on both projects was available at the Marketplace stands, which enabled interaction with other projects and partners.
