At the virtual event "HTH Virtual: Climate and Health" on January 26 all centered on climate change and its consequences for health. In a way, the session functioned as a digital "warm-up" for the big face-to-face event "HTH: Pitch & Partner" on March 30, 2023 at the Medical University of Graz. 90 interested people from 30 countries followed the very different inputs given live from the Lendhafen Graz, which had been converted into a "streaming studio".

In their keynotes, Dr Franz Prettenthaler, M.Litt, Director of the Institute LIFE and Prof MD Lars-Peter Kamolz, MSc,  Director of the Center COREMED  gave an overview of the consequences of climate change for human health and the importance of healthy aging for individuals and society.

Companies

The health cluster Human.technology Styria brought winners of company calls from previous years on the virtual stage. Then  the companies – Hannes Allmaier from the research center Virtual Vehicle and Wolfgang Kratky from the association "Smart Aging" – formulated their questions for the current company call.

The ICS (Internationalization Center Styria) presented the EU project "DESIRE" (Development of E-Health Solutions Improving Resilience in Europe), which supports SMEs in accessing European digital health markets. There was also a short presentation on the Finnish digital health and healthcare market.

The online program concluded with some 40 pre-booked B2B meetings under the patronage of the Enterprise Europe Network.

The organizer of the online event was the Health Tech Hub Styria, an association of seven regional organizations that bundle their synergies in the fields of health and life sciences to present Styria as an attractive business location, promote international networking and initiate cooperations.
