With the installation VR-SenseCity, various aspects of sensory perception are to be made conscious again in order to promote mental health. Within the virtual environment in the form of a city, mainly visual and auditory stimuli are addressed. Smell, taste and touch are recalled by means of imaginative stimuli. These imagined sensory experiences are complemented by scenarios of contemplation, social encounters, and fun play. The virtual experiences are intended to motivate mindfulness in everyday life and thus contribute to resilience in challenging times.
